![]() • Why is the game called Don't Say A Word? The name refers to one of the games main plots, which is that between 1975-1976, several individuals were taken from their homes and brought to Section Seven, a part of the St. Walpurga hospital that is under full Death Eater control. Here they were programmed as sleeper agents then put back into the world as if nothing had happened. • What is a Sleeper Agent? A sleeper agent is someone who is programmed via brainwashing, torture and other various methods to carry out an act then promptly forget about it. The sleeper is put back into normal society wish faked memories of the time they were at the hospital and no idea they have been programmed. The sleeper agent then resumes normal life until they are triggered by a series of words (hence the game name) and then, sometimes in a trance like state and with complete drive, carry out the act they have been programmed to and then clean up after themselves. They then forget about the action. Occationally, things will go wrong and little things will come into the persons memory but are often dismissed. • Why use Sleeper Agents? These are for people that, for one reason or another, the Death Eaters can't get to. Politians, certain Ministry personnel or families that are hard to get to. This way, they do not commit the murder - the agent does and is therefore punishable for it. • What is the Walpurgis Alliance? The Walpurgis Alliance was originally a group of muggles and wizards that desired harmony between the two words. The Death Eaters infiltrated it and made the party under their control via imperius and coersion. The Alliance has now become a political party that helps oversee the control and containment of muggles and the wellbeing of the wizarding population. They promote a great unity for the wizarding world and have hands in most of it's workings (including Hallow, Ministry, etc) and answers to Voldemort. They also oversee the Ministry as a civillian organisation. • What is Hallow Industries? Hallow Industries is the Death Eater front company. It generates the revenue to support the economy, it helps control the population with departments specifically designed to help people 'adjust'. They run several charity organisations, own most of the media in the United Kingdom and Ireland and have no apparant affiliation with the Alliance. Within Hallow Industries, are the Death Eaters. They are the Black Ops contingents - these are things that cannot be officially sanctioned (assassination, breaking & entering, espionage, etc) and are run from cells around the company by the Aristocratic families. The Heads of the families are the Hallow Industries board members. • What is the Protection of Magic Initiative? It was an intiative to preserve magic as it is and to keep the muggle population both under control and from invading their space. This is also give wizards a chance to have rule and say. • What is the St. Walpurga Hospital? The Hospital is where those who have maladjusted or malfunctioned go. This is an honour usually reserved for those either important to society or at the very least, halfblood so that they can reintegrate to society and become useful again. They need to be signed from the St. Mungo's or the Hallow Industries liason to be sent here. It is not done usually and has to be sanctioned, however, a Board Member can request it for any employee. It is a reminder that the Order must watch their step. • What is the Training Centre? The Centre is split into sections devoted to training people to be useful to the WA. • What are the historical differences? The gist is that there were framed bombings on Xmas 75. Because of that, new checkpoints were put up and certain areas designated "Muggle" or "Magical" - though people are allowed to go anywhere, there are checkpoints to go through to prevent further loss of life. Then there was a census and ID cards issued, as "certain sympathisers" had access to certain materials (books, potion ingredients, etc) and this was then restricted by the cards - it's usually swiped in shops, which is why all shops check for cards now. Think...credit cards meets reaction-to-wand. Then population controls were introduced which meant there could be an equal population of magic users to muggles and there were riots, so Hallow did relief work, sorting out magical families for a magical future, that kind of thing. This is how Hallow came into power and the Aristocracy came about. |
